Focus on what matters.

We have a  wealth of information right at our fingertips. Never before have you had the ability to consume so much free content. Trouble is it can be overwhelming and you have to find good content.

focus on content

You can overload yourself if you read everything!

I love new content. I find myself searching out new stuff on a daily basis. There is such great stuff out there now that I find it hard not to get sucked into the latest promotion someone is offering.

Now if the marketer does their job correctly, they will give away a ton of great free content. So really it’s worth watching these videos and reading the ebooks. Even if you don’t end up signing up for their class you can learn a lot.

The only problem I found was that I wasn’t focused on one topic. I was trying to follow everyone’s sales pitch. I was searching and signing up for every free series I could find.

I was doing too much and not getting any value from them.

I needed focus.

I decided that I would review my usual blog feeds and podcasts as normal but I would only focus on one promotional series at a time.

Granted some of these series close down and don’t reopen for a while. I always sign up for them so in the future I can be notified about the series opening again.

I found this new system to be great. I stay focused on the content at hand. Best of all I can really immerse myself in the program and do all the follow up work. I can even sign up for the class if I really liked it.

Focus turns into value. If you can focus on one promotional series you can really can a lot from it.

Let’s talk more about this on Twitter.
