Refresh your mind and boost your productivity!

As soon as the weather warms up I get the urge to head outdoors. In my  Morning Routine post I talked about why you need to have a structured routine for your morning. Exercise should be a big part of your routine.

Running in morning

Exercising when you first wake up frees your mind when It’s most important.

I find there is no other better way to start the day than to breathe in the fresh air and let it wash over your body.

What’s happens to me is I relax my brain and let my body take over.

I (and I’m sure you do this too) tax my brain constantly throughout the day and this is it’s time to just let it go into autopilot mode.

Here’s some of the benefits:

  • Physical Health – This one is obvious and soon or later you will have to exercise. And remember “Energy Begets Energy” the more you exercise the more energy you will have.
  • Mental Health – This is the time to be physical and let your mind reset. Did you have a frustrating day yesterday? Take it out on the road. Getting that out of your system will help you to start your day off fresh.
  • Time to think – When was the last time you just thought about things? Do you ever have alone time with just you and your thoughts.
  • Personal DevelopmentAudible allows you to listen to books while you exercise.  I like to listen to podcasts when I’m out exercising.

Warning : Exercising can be addictive. I love to exercise and after a while I’m sure you will too.

At the right moments during your training your body can release endorphins which give you the “runners high”. When that happens it’s like you are walking on air! It’s one of the best feelings in the world.

Let’s talk more about this on Twitter.
