You know you need to buy pens next time you are in staples, oh I also need light bulbs from the hardware store and don’t forget to buy band aids from the drug store. Want an easy way to keep all this stuff organized. Check out AnyList.

AnyList is an app that makes lists – yes it’s as simple as that. It‘s such a simple app but yet works really well.

I’ve had some really complicated systems and some really simple systems for keeping track of stuff I need to buy. What you really want is to quickly write down what you need and from where. And then have the list accessible wherever you are.

This is where this simple app shines. You can quickly capture what you need and from where. When you head out the door on an errand you open the app check which stores you going to be near and pop in and grab what you need.

When you use the grocery list it will automatically group your items into categories. It will put all your dairy into one group and all your produce into another group. This is a real time saver when you are in the produce aisle you can get everything you need at one time.

I love the fact that when I’m in a store I can just open the app and see what’s on the list and buy it.

Make a list for each of the stores you frequently visit, here’s a few of mine as an example:

  • CVS
  • Home Depot
  • Staples
  • Etc…..

Put in any store you want. My wife and I share a grocery list. It’s nice to be able  to see what she bought on the list.

Once you have your list just add items to it. I use this list for items that I’m getting low – hey I just used the last one of “insert what you need to buy” I need to get more. I use this for items that aren’t needed immediately but if something is getting low it goes on the list. I frequent the store on my list often enough that I don’t run out of what’s on my list before I get there.

AnyList is free! Give it a try and let me know what you think about it on Twitter.
